SINN Housing
Here you can find useful information for incoming exchange students and incoming full degree students attending the INN University and applying for/moving into our student housing.
All the Norwegian pages at sinn.no can be translated into your choice of language in you web browser.
We offer student housing to international students, often i collaboration with INN University’s International office.

Residential regulations
Everyone who stays in our student housing must comply with the tenancy agreement and Enclosure to the tenancy agreement with the Residential regulations.

More useful information:
There will be a duvet and pillow in your room, as well as duvet cover, pillowcase and sheet. The bedding kit yours to keep.
The bedding kit fee is NOK 800,- and is billed together with the first rent.
At Lillehammer the kit is automatically preordered if not cancelled within the previously given deadline.
At Hamar, Blæstad, Elverum and Rena you have to order the kit with the given order form.
At Evenstad the INN University is handeling their Basic start kits, contact your international coordinator.
At Lillehammer the International office meet the exchange students with the key to their student housing. Other international students must pick up the key at SINNs housing office at campus (building «Internatet»).
At Hamar the Buddies from International office will meet you with the key when you arrive.
At Evenstad your student card is your key to the student housing, please contact INN University.
If you live in a single room and share kitchen and maybe also barthroom – please note that you cannot have visitors staying overnight in your room without the consent of the other tenants you share kitchen/bathroom with.
Generally – it is not permitted to
have a guest staying overnight for more than 2 consecutive days/nights, and not more than for
10 days per semester. It is not permitted to have guests stay overnight in communal rooms
Termination
Tenancy agreements with a duration of up to 6 -six- months are not possible to cancel.
Other tenancy agreements may be cancelled with a period of notice of 2 – two – months calculated from the last day of the month of the notice – can be done at My page or by sending an e-mail to [email protected].
Check out
You will receive practical information on e-mail from SINN about 14 days before the tenancy agreements end date. The same information is found here
You must clean your room/bathroom/common kitchen before leaving.
Book a check out with a SINN cleaner well in advance at My page. The check must be done after you are finished cleaning and the day that you are leaving (and during our opening hours).
If you don’t book a check out, the cleaner will check the cleaning after you have left.
You must accept the cleaner’s decision and you will be charged for the costs of inadequate/unapproved cleaning and any damage to the accomodation.
